Labh Janjua, the voice behind hit numbers like Mundiya tu bachke rahi, Soni de nakhre, Jee karda, London thumakda, Pyar kar ke amongst many others hit songs, passed away in 2015.

In the forthcoming comedy, RunningShaadi starring Taapsee Pannu and Amit Sadh, one of his final songs has been composed and used in the film. “Titled Dimpi De Naal Bhaage Bunty, the song has been composed by Abhishek-Akshay and is perfectly in sync with the film’s theme around weddings and all the notoriousness around it,” said a source close  to the film.

“This is one of the last songs he recorded for the movie before his untimely death. The famous songs that he has sung have always managed to be chartbusters. The song from Running Shaadi is a peppy one with Punjabi tunes and lyrics. Labh Janjua’s voice made this song more vibrant and was the ideal choice for the composers. His fans will get one more reason to praise his versatility through this song,” adds the source.

“It’s really amazing that after recording this song, the last words Labh Ji said to me before leaving the studio was that Yeh song bohot bada hit hoeyga. He was an amazing soul, very pure and an exceptional singer. He sang the song so effortlessly and took it to a different level,” said Amit Roy, director of RunningShaadi which is releasing on February 3.
