Pune: ‘Discover Pune 13’ event was organised by Rotaract Club of Pune Shaniwarwda and Intach Pune in the city recently.

This year’s concept had an essence of Indian mythology. There were 12 locations which were to be searched and which were further divided into three geographical areas.

There were 57 participants who participated this year, indicating growing enthusiasm and interest among participants for the event.

The event started from Sharniwarwada and BMCC. The event received great praises from participants. Every participant mentioned that they learned something new about Pune, may be a new temple, new wada, new roads or a new site. Teams also loved the concept and strategic planning that they had to do.

Locations covered this year were Kameshwar Mandir, Jangli Maharaj Mandir, Kimaya (FC), Ghorpade Ghat, Ayurved Rasashala, FTII, Pagoda On Tekdi, Pachi Pandav Mandir, Khajina Vihir, Sahitya Parishad, Trishund Ganapati and Vishnupura.

Each clan was assigned a home territory. A team belonging to a clan got clues for their home territory only during the start at Shaniwarwada. When teams completed home territory they were given clues to next territory.

There was also a questionnaire for the teams. If a team could answer 10 questions correctly, then the team was given a ‘curse card’ which they would use against the rival team to cause them some disadvantage. There was also a hidden weapon to be searched. The top five teams were Puneri Bench, Jau Tithe Shodhu, Time Travelers, Vadhiv Punekar and Faster Fene.
