Gold Gym in Plate semis; PCLTA wins

Pune: Gold Gym edged out Solaris ‘C’ 18-14 in their last league match to make it to the Plate semifinals and qualify for the main draw along with PCLTA Clay Kings and Tennis Acers in the Shashi Vaidya Memorial Inter Club Tennis Championships.

In their last league match, Gold Gym edged out Solaris ‘C’ 18-14, while in the PCMC leg PCLTA Clay Kings lifted the title putting out Tennis Acers 17-12. A total of 4 teams from Pune City zone-PYC ‘C’, MWTA, Gold Gym, Deccan ‘E’-made it to main edition, along with PCLTA Clay King and Tennis Acers from PCMC Zone. Also making the grade were Poona Club and Magarpatta from Pune Camp Zone. These teams will join 8 teams of the elite group for the main edition.

Plate Division league matches: Gold Gym beat Solaris ‘C’ 18-14; Solaris ‘C’ beat PYC ‘E’ 20-15; Navasahyadri Dynamites beat Hillside Gymkhana 21-10; KPIT beat Law Chargers 19-15; PCLTA Clay Kings beat PCLTA Fighters 24-2; PCLTA Rangers beat PCLTA New Ones 19-13; SJ Academy, Sangvi, beat PCLTA New Ones 19-16.
Final: PCLTA Clay Kings beat Tennis Acers 17-12.
