PUNE: Saturday morning turned out to be an adrenaline pumping one as members of A Club of Elite Superbikers (ACES) organised a city ride on the occasion of World Motorcycle Day to spread the message of safety awareness among the city riders.

The event began from Fergusson College road and the riders drove across the city on their superbikes, which was definitely a treat for the onlookers early in the morning.

The ride, which saw 27 superbikes taking part with varied makes such as Aprilla, Honda Goldwing, Yamaha, Honda CBR and Hayabusa, ended at the Triumph showroom on Baner Road.

ACES member Vikram Singh said: “This was riders’ way of coming together on World Motorcycle Day and I enjoyed riding with my fellow riders.”

Shailesh Bhandari, the owner of Triumph, Pune, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome ACES at our showroom and Triumph enjoyed to be a part of the event.”

Viraj Gajare, a student and a fan of ACES said: “The event was really a special one for me as we got to see so many superbikes all at one time going across the city promoting safe riding. The bikers drove very nicely and followed all the rules which makes them different.”

Pukul Shah, President of ACES said “We wanted to spread the message of ‘safety first’ and ride with responsibility which was the main motive for our ride on the occasion of World Motorcycle Day. We also had five bikes from Triumph for the event and would like to thank them for making this event a great success.”
