Pune: FTII students refuse to call of strike in spite of receiving a warning letter from the director DJ Narain on Wednesday. After meeting the media on Thursday, they sang slogans in front of the director’s office.

DJ Narain had issued the warning letter addressed to the FTII Students’ Association president, Nachimuthu Harishankar, stating that they should either call off the strike or be prepared to face strong administrative action which may include rustication.

The students have been on strike since June 12 to protest against the Information & Broadcasting Ministry's decision to appoint TV star and BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as the Chairman of the FTII Governing Council.

Narain told Sakal Times that the students have been given a warning by the FTII management to withdraw the stir or face serious action.
