PUNE: Global coffee chain, ‘Aromas’ through a tie-up with Ideal Hospitality Private Limited (IHPL) opened its second outlet at Koregoan Park and the fourth in India as part of a regional expansion plan.

Speaking on the occasion, CMD, IHPL Jayant Mhaiskar said, “The company has received a very good response from its first outlet located on D P Road. As a result, we have decided to open a few more outlets across Pune with the next outlet being planned at F C Road.”

IHPL is concentrating on all the metros or Tier-I cities as part of its expansion plan under Phase-I and would gradually spread its operations to Tier-II cities by the year end, he added.

Asked about the investment the company has made for its expansions, he said, “We have invested around Rs 75 to 80 lakh on each of the outlets and the amounts vary according to the region and real estate prices.”

Mhaiskar said ‘Aromas’ coffee chain is different from other chains operating in the country as it offers quality wine and bear in its outlets. “People have a choice and the outlets are designed for those who would cherish their coffee and their dining experience,” he added.

He said available statistics reveal that the organised coffee sector in India is around 35 per cent and everybody has a room to play and tap the market which is growing. Besides, IHPL in the next three years would strive to achieve a target of Rs 200- 250 crore by tapping the organised coffee sector.

“We did face some hiccups initially but the outlet is now catching up and from the revenue generation perspective. We have recorded a six per cent growth each month from the outlet,” said Mhaiskar, when asked about the response and revenue from its first outlet at D P Road.
